Dermapen® Collagen Induction Therapy
Improve skin texture, uneven skin tone, fine lines and scarring through your body’s own collagen production.
Collagen Induction Therapy uses fine needling to cause micro-trauma to the dermis of the skin thus stimulating your body’s own collagen production. Your body will start to naturally regenerate the skin working below the surface creating new skin cells and enhance blood supply.
As we age, fine lines form particularly around our eyes and mouth, our skin loses it elasticity, collagen fibres begin to harden and our skin undergoes dramatic moisture loss.
In order to put a stop to these changes we must find a way to regenerate our skin cells. This can be achieved with collagen induction therapy using the Medical Dermapen.
Dermapen is a procedure using micro needling across the skin of the face, neck and dècolletage making pinpoint insertions to create a very minor micro-trauma to the skin triggering the body’s’ ability to heal itself. Growth factor is released in response to the micro injury resulting in collagen synthesis, restoring a more healthy and youthful appearance of your skin.
For full facial rejuvenation we recommend a minimum of three treatments at intervals of four weeks. For extensive scarring or skin conditions more treatments may be required therefore we recommend you book in a complimentary consult to discuss this with our clinicians. We do recommend maintenance every six to twelve months to maintain the best results.
